Kiyle Playter serves as the Running Backs, Tight Ends, Wide Receivers, and Strength & Conditioning Coach at San Bernardino Valley College.
A native of Seattle, Wash., Playter played collegiately as a Fullback, Tight End, and H-Back at Whitworth University, Los Angeles Pierce College, Bacone College, and California Lutheran University. Known for his versatility, he earned a starting role at every program while learning multiple offensive systems. At Pierce College, he was a Team Captain, All-Conference selection, and Most Dependable Player, and later earned the Bacone Warrior Award for his work ethic and commitment.
Following his playing career, Playter was scouted by the Tennessee Titans in 2017, earned invitations to The Spring League, and participated in a private workout with the XFL LA Wildcats.
He began his coaching career at California Lutheran University as an Assistant Strength & Conditioning Coach (2013–15), while also serving as Strength Coach and Linebackers Coach at Chatsworth High School (2013-14). He later coached Running Backs at Pierce College (2015-16).
Playter graduated from California Lutheran University with a Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science in 2015.
He is passionate about developing complete athletes through faith, discipline, and accountability. Off the field, he takes pride in being a devoted girl dad and volleyball dad, and is committed to mentoring youth athletes both on and off the field.
