Return to Court Leads to D1 Opportunity

When Majesty Cade joined the San Bernardino Valley College women’s basketball team in January, the season was more than half over. And she hadn’t played organized ball since graduating from Etiwanda High School in 2023.

But once she stepped on the court for her first game on Jan. 7, you could see she still had the spark and ability to be a player in the game.

Cade has parlayed the experience back on the floor at San Bernardino Valley into continuing her college career at the NCAA Division 1 level, committing to Oral Roberts University, she announced on social media Sunday.

“We are so proud of the work Majesty did here,” said women’s basketball coach Julia Smith.

In all, Cade appeared in nine game for SBVC, starting eight. After coming off the bench in her opener, she started against Barstow on Jan. 14 and scored a season-high 28 points with 11 rebounds in a win over the Vikings.

She finished the season averaging 16.7 points. 6.8 rebounds, and 2.6 assists per game. She earned an honorable mention selection to the All-Inland Empire Athletic Conference team.
